Canevare is a hamlet of Fanano located along the road leading to Cimoncino.
Originally called “Caneparium” due to the traditional and ancient cultivation of hemp in this area, Canevare has been inhabited since at least the 1600s.
It is situated on the slopes of Monte Calvanella (known as “Polentina” by the locals of Fanano) and lies along the road that leads to the Cimoncino ski resort, with its mountain refuges.
The heart of the hamlet is Piazza dei Falchi, where you can also find the Parish Church dedicated to Saint Michael. From the square, a trail leads to the Rovinaccia Waterfalls, one of the most popular attractions in the area.
Canevare is also a starting point for numerous trails, ideal for trekking and cycling enthusiasts.
